Our family has been a part of the Young Scholars Community for three years now, and we couldn’t be more thankful for it! Our daughter started as an almost 3-year old and is now enrolled in the Transitional Kindergarten program. She loves going to school and is learning so much from her teachers and fellow students. She is on a path to enter kindergarten with all of the skills necessary to excel in her educational career.
We are very grateful for the teachers and Director, Teri, who each day make YSA such a special place to be a child; learning, playing, and growing. We have every intention of sending our son next year, once he is old enough, and look forward to three more years as part of the YSA community.
Some of our favorite parts of YSA are the community service and giving back, especially during the holidays with a toy and food drive. It’s been a great opportunity to show our children what it means to be part of a larger community and how powerful it is to be able to help others in need. The partnership between home and school is so important and YSA exceeds our expectations each day.
I would be remiss not to mention how incredible Young Scholars has been for our family during the coronavirus pandemic. Like many other parents we were nervous about what the school year would bring however, YSA has been nothing short of a godsend. It has allowed our five-year-old to continue to be a child with a sense of normalcy during this crisis. We are confident in the health and safety measures YSA has enacted and are so grateful that school has been open for in—person learning during this most difficult of times.
