Class Offerings

The programs at YSA have been designed to ensure full alignment of scaffolded skills between the curriculum in each of the classes that we offer.  In so doing, students enjoy a seamless learning experience as they transition between classes at the start of each academic year.

All students enjoy our outdoor classroom, outdoor play area, regulation size gymnasium, and music class. Foreign culture programs begin at the Pre-K 3 level.

Supportive Programs

Music

Music is a universal language that plays such an important role in the life of a young child. At YSA we explore music in conjunction with singing and vocal development, listening, playing instruments, and movement. This begins the journey into reading and writing music. When rhythm notation is fully grasped the concept of pitch is introduced. Then the magic begins, rhythm and pitch produces music.

Greek & Spanish Culture programs

Young children are primed to learn a second language. Since the left frontal lobe of the brain is still developing, young children are easily able to absorb a new language at a fast pace. Therefore, our young scholars are not only studying Greek or Spanish languages, but are also learning about the culture, customs, and traditions of these countries.

Dan and Kristy Walther

We love the YSA approach to learning! The teachers are wonderful at providing a great balance of education and care for the children. We love their creative approach and feel that our children’s best needs are always taken into account. We are confident that our children will be fully prepared when they move on!
